The ladies of Zeta Upsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. handed out free hot dogs and pack-a-sack bags with healthy snacks for the youth at Tropicana Field after this year’s parade.
ST. PETERSBURG — With the seventh year of funding from the Florida Legislature, the MLK Day of Service Advisory Committee and St. Petersburg College are looking to make the 2019 MLK Day of Service on Monday, Jan. 21, 2019, the most memorable community service event to date!
Please help us and join hundreds of local citizens who choose to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by serving the community. Let’s make MLK Day a day on, not just a day off!
Want to learn more about the 2019 MLK Day of Service and Service Awards? The MLK Day of Service Advisory Board is offering information sessions to provide a brief overview of the MLK Day of Service and information on applying for a service award.
Attendance at an information session is MANDATORY to be eligible to submit a service award application.
The next information session will be held at St. Petersburg College – Allstate Campus, 3200 34th St. S, St. Petersburg on Wednesday, Oct.17 at 6:30-8 p.m.
And the last session will be held at St. Petersburg College – Midtown Campus, 1300 22nd St. S, St. Petersburg on Friday, Oct. 26 at 11-12:30 p.m.
The info sessions are free of charge. Please RSVP to stpeteserves@gmail.com to let us know which info session you plan to attend.
