ST. PETERSBURG — As we enter the most active period for hurricane season, the City of St. Petersburg encouraged residents to prepare over the weekend by picking up free sandbags from the Pavement and Traffic Operations Building (1744 9th Ave. N).
The city team has decided to open eight additional self-service sites today, Aug. 27, and three full-service sites on Monday, Aug. 28, to help make sandbags easily accessible to residents. The Pavement and Traffic Operation Building will also be open today until supplies are depleted.
