UPDATE: The deadline for Requests for Public Assistance for nonprofits and governments has been extended to Dec. 20 for hurricanes Helene and Milton.
As Pinellas County residents and businesses recover from hurricanes Milton, Helene and Debby, many resources are available to help. Deadlines to apply for these resources are approaching:
• FEMA Public Assistance (PA) Grant Program for Nonprofits and Governments:
o Hurricanes Helene & Milton: Dec. 20
• Crisis Cleanup registration hotline (help with cleanup) will close Nov. 1 (registration available online afterward).
• Disaster Recovery Center at the Florida Botanical Gardens will close on Nov. 1 and move to the Enoch D. Davis Center, 1111 18th Ave. S., St. Petersburg, starting Nov. 2.
• Operation Blue Roof Program (free temporary tarps for roof damage): Nov. 5
• Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) food assistance applications will be accepted by phone Nov. 4-8.
• FEMA Assistance Applications:
o Hurricane Debby: Nov. 12
o Hurricane Helene: Nov. 27
o Hurricane Milton: Dec. 11
• Hot foods available using SNAP EBT benefits through Nov. 15.
• Disaster Unemployment Assistance:
o Hurricane Debby: Nov. 18
o Hurricane Helene: Dec. 2
o Hurricane Milton: Dec. 10
