ST. PETERSBURG — The new St. Petersburg Community Mass Choir, formed under the direction and leadership of Bishop Al Baldwin, will host a “Singing Under The Anointing” Gospel concert and live recording on Jan. 19 at 5 p.m. The event will take place at New Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, located at 3422 21st Ave. S, where Rev. Don L. Middleton is the pastor.
The St. Petersburg Community Mass Choir is made up of several anointed voices from varies churches throughout the community. The choir was formed through a vision from the Lord and is being manifested through Bishop Baldwin and the spiritual advisor Superintendent Zema J. Florence, III.
The choir is built on the foundational principals of ministry and can be found ministering at funerals, Sunday Services, revivals, and many community events throughout the Tampa Bay area. The focus of the choir isn’t about how well they can sing or how well we can perform, but it is all about Kingdom Building and how many souls can be introduced to Christ and how many hearts can be touch through true ministry.
The Jan. 19 event will consist of special appearances by St. John Missionary Baptist Church Mass Choir from Clearwater, Holy Temple Cathedral Church of God in Christ Praise Team from St. Petersburg, the Tampa Bay Gospel Legends Mass Choir from Tampa and the New Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church Dance Ministry.
There will also be a special appearance by The Mighty Sons of Zion as they honor and pay tribute to the late David Roundtree and the late Sherman Evans.
This is an open door community event, and everyone is invited to join them as they offer sincere praise and worship to the Lord and Savior. Doors will open at 4 p.m., and the service will begin at 5 p.m.
