When you’re blessed; you’re blessed and that settles it! Remember, you are not blessed some of the time, you are blessed at all times. I know you are probably saying Pastor Kisha, you have no idea what I am going through. The trails are overwhelming, the pain is too great, the finances are dried up, the relationship is over. And you are absolutely right. I do not know what you are going through. But, bless God you are “going through.”
We all experience sunshine and rain, heartache and pain, good days and bad days, ups and downs. Life is a roller coaster ride. Aimee Mullins writes “Giving up is conceding that things will never get better, and that is just not true. Ups and downs are a constant in life, and I’ve been belted into that roller coaster a thousand times.”
Yes, life can be tough. But, I am submitting for your consideration that God is bigger than your circumstances and if you will trust in the Lord He will see you through.
According to the word of God, He has delivered your life from death and your feet from falling, that you may walk before God in the light of life (Psalm 56: 13). The Psalmist acknowledged the trials of life but then makes a powerful declaration that I want you to get in your spirit. I would have fainted unless I believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living” (Psalms 27:13).
Faced with unspeakable trials, Job prophesied his own deliverance by the hand of God when he postulated I shall come forth as gold (Job 23:10). You see when you’re blessed; you’re blessed. I am challenging you my friend even during your storm to proclaim the blessings of God over your life.
Blessed people talk differently and they understand the principle of the word of God, “life and death are in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21). Again, I challenge you to be mindful of the words that are coming out of your mouth. Speak life, speak blessing, speak health, speak prosperity, speak victory, speak greatness, speak the word of God over your life.
Additionally, blessed people understand there is a divine power at work in their lives. The Apostle Paul confirms this belief when he stated, “we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellency of the power might be of God and not of us” (2 Corinthians 4:7). Let the Holy Spirit have His way in your life.
But, you cannot simply sit idle waiting on the blessing of God to manifest in your life. Jesus said in Matthew 12:35 “the good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him.” So what should you do to manifest the blessing of God in my life?”
The answer is found in the word of God. Deuteronomy 28:1 says, “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands…blessings will come on you and accompany you because you have obeyed the Lord. Obey God in the good times and the bad times and watch the blessings manifest in your life. AMEN!
