Dear Reader,
I’m not sure how my words will find you when you read them, but I pray that they bring you perspective, wisdom, and guidance.
The time of war may come to an end, but it doesn’t mean that the appetite of war has been satisfied within the heart of the enemy or those who hate you. So, be alert and of sober mind. Our enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, for we know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
Let us humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand, and He will lift us up in due time. And may the God of all grace who called you to His eternal glory restore and make you strong. To Him be the power for ever and ever. Amen (ref. 1 Peter 5:6-11).
Dear reader, as the recent war comes to an end and our service men and women return home, I begin to ponder and reflect on these thoughts and scriptures.
Be sure to express your gratitude to our family members, neighbors, and friends who serve this nation. Be sure to thank them for all they do and for their selfless sacrifice.
My dear reader, friends, and service members, we thank you for your service, and we welcome you home. I want you to know that you are not alone, and it is my prayer that this column will make you feel as though you have a place to belong and somewhere to call home.
