Dear Reader: God Sees Something Extraordinary in You

Dear Reader,

I’m not sure how my words will find you when you read them, but I pray that they find you well and bring you hope and perspective. I also pray that our time together this year in 2021 has been one of substance.

‘Mary, Did You Know?’ is a song inspired by God – a story told through lyrics that only He could inspire someone to write (Words and music by Mark Lowry and Buddy Greene, Arr. By Tom Fettke).

“For blessed [spiritually fortunate and favored by God] is the one who believed and confidently trusts that there will be a fulfillment of the things that have been spoken concerning their favor from God” (ref. Luke 1:45 AMP). These wise and true words were spoken to Mary by her cousin, Elizabeth, and they still ring true today. She was also chosen and favored by God, and dear reader, I want you to know that you are, too.

Can you see it, and can you comprehend it – the favor of God residing over your life? Dear Reader, others may see the ordinary through the lens of imperfections, but God, the Creator of all things, sees something extraordinary. He knows the weight of that which you carry, and He will strengthen and sustain you. Mary carried the lyrics within her heart to her own song of thanksgiving, and we find these words written in Luke 1:46-56. She found her song and lyrics though God’s favor, and I pray and hope, dear reader, that you will, too.

God, The Great I AM, sees something great within you; so, write your song and sing your lyrics, for you have been blessed and favored. God knows the weight of that which you carry, and He will strengthen and sustain you.

The very promises of God concerning your life, dear reader, once resided within His presence. I want you to know that you are not alone, and it is my prayer that this column will make you feel as though you have a place to belong and somewhere to call home.

I thank you for staying connected with us this year, and we look forward to seeing you, God-willing, in the year of 2022. But until then, and until we meet again, we bid you blessings and favor and a Happy New Year!❤️🙏🏿
