Dear Reader: Remain Hopeful and Continue to Be Resilient

Dear Reader, Daughters and Sons of God, and also our featured guests, Friends of Passion Series,

I’m not sure how my words will find you when you read them, but I pray that they find you well and bring you hope and perspective.

The daughter of God found within Matthew 9:20-38 demonstrated her resilience and tenacity for a number of years but did not experience or receive her healing for 12 whole years, as did the son of God found within John 9:1-12 who had been blind from birth. To the person who ended 2022 in one reality only to begin 2023 in the same, we want you to know that it’s OK and that everything is going to be OK, because the complexities of our circumstances do not often change from one season to another, and they may not come to an immediate conclusion where one year ends and another begins.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-14 tells us that there is a time and a season for every activity under the heavens and sun. So, it is our prayer that you will not become discouraged if the problems of last year and years prior have found its way into your new year. We want you to know that you are not the problem or reason that your problem continues to persist, and we also want you to know that there is a reason that your Heavenly Father has been sustaining and keeping you. Continue to hold onto faith, and continue to believe that things will get better, because perhaps this season will be your season, or perhaps it will come at a later. Whenever it takes place, whether it be now or later, just know that the work of God is being displayed and illustrated through you.

We are chosen, sons and daughters of God. So, keep your head up, Dear Reader, and don’t ever allow yourself to believe that it is your fault or something that you or someone else are doing wrong.

Happy New Year, Beloved, and may the work of God continue to be displayed and illustrated through you. Continue to trust God even in the most difficult places because He will see to it that you make it to the destination of His promises. I want you to know that you are not alone, and it is my prayer that this column will make you feel as though you have a place to belong and somewhere to call home.
