PINELLAS COUNTY — Is your child ready for kindergarten? Registration for next school year begins Jan. 13. Pinellas County Schools will be holding Ready, Set…Kindergarten events at elementary schools on Jan. 14, 15 and 16.
Families will have opportunities to explore classrooms, meet teachers, register for school and find out how to get their children ready for kindergarten. Learn more and see a schedule of events at www.pcsb.org/KG. If you have questions, please call Student Assignment at 727-588-6210.
Application period for magnet programs is thru Jan. 17
Families can apply online for magnet, fundamental and career programs through Jan. 17 at https://reservation.pcsb.org. All applications are assigned a random number, so it does not matter whether you apply early or late during this period.
Please make sure to give yourself plenty of time in case you have questions during the application process. The application period closes at 5 p.m. on Jan. 17.

If you need help applying for magnet programs, the district is holding application assistance events:
- Tues., Jan. 14 — Gibbs High School, 850 34th St. S in St. Petersburg
- Thurs., Jan. 16 — The Student Assignment Office at the Pinellas County Schools Administration Building, 301 4th Street SW in Largo
