Parent of the Week Award: Troyon Lowe

Parent Support for Education Council, Inc. in partnership with The Weekly Challenger presents:

Parent of the Week Award

This award is not a contest; rather the purpose of the award is to celebrate parental engagement in education by parents and caring adults. While encountering many challenges, these parents continue to be engaged in all aspects of their children’s lives.

Fathers are often devalued and portrayed in a negative light; however, a growing number of fathers are stepping up to assume their God ordained role in the family life.

TROYON LOWE

Troyon Lowe Parent of the WeekLowe is a father of two children and currently attends St. Petersburg College pursuing an associate of arts degree. Recently he received the “Striving Student Award” for completing his course work.

Lowe stays engaged with his children by visiting the school every two months and consistently encouraging them by telling them they can do anything if they put their minds to it. He stresses the importance of reading and math to his children.

Lowe also attends church and is one of the many fathers who the Lord says in Malachi 4:6; he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers.

With fathers actively engaged in the lives of their kids, the odds of their children’s success are greatly enhanced.

Congratulations, and may the blessings of the Lord continue to follow you!
