PETERSBURG — The legacy of the late Rosa Jackson continues as her family hosts the 43rd annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner on Thursday, Nov. 22 at Campbell Park Recreation Center, 601 14th St. S, St. Petersburg. The free home-cooked dinner, with all the trimmings, will be served from 1 – 4 p.m.
Mrs. Jackson wanted to provide a good Thanksgiving dinner for people who did not have family or was having a hard time in life. Through the efforts of Eloise Jones, her daughter and volunteers, the vision of the late Mrs. Jackson and her grandson, Daryl Jones, Sr. (who led the tradition until his passing in 2013) lives on.
The public is cordially invited to attend the Thanksgiving Day dinner.
