ST. PETERSBURG — Thanksgiving and Christmas are major holidays in the United States and most celebrate them at home by eating turkey and various trimmings to compliment the meal. The goal of Matters of the Heart, a faith-based non-profit organization, during this 2016 Thanksgiving holiday season is to bless 500 families in the Tampa Bay area with a turkey and all the trimmings so they can have a bountiful dinner this year.
Princess Denise Wright, who is the radio personality for Matters of the Heart Ministry, will host the 9th Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway & Health Awareness event Saturday, Nov. 12 from 11- 2 p.m. at the Pinellas Technical College, 901 34th St. S, with the Southern Christian Leadership Conference as its co-sponsor.
The ministry will bless families of veterans, the elderly, poverty stricken and the disabled. We are asking for your support to help us accomplish our endeavors for this humanitarian cause. If you will have food on the table this Thanksgiving holiday and a family to share it with, please convey your heartfelt gratitude by being grateful that you are among God’s chosen ones to enjoy a life of abundance and share your bounty with the less fortunate.
We would truly appreciate donations of turkeys, and monetary donations can be made to the ministry’s Go Fund Me account at gofundme.com/ thanksgiving-turkey-giveaway-2uhbc5vx.
Healthcare professionals and vendor tables are only $20, please call (727) 488-8818 if you’d like to participate. Also, please call (727) 800-6695 to register a family for a turkey beginning Nov. 1.
