Dear Reader,
I’m not sure how my words will find you when you read them, but I pray that they find you well and bring you hope and perspective.
It’s OK, it’s OK that it didn’t work out, it’s OK to take some time for yourself, and it’s OK to choose a new direction.
As I began to reflect and ponder this week, Dear Reader, concerning what I would write to you, I could hear these words, simply stated, “It’s OK,” and I would like to let you know that it is OK – but not only is it OK, everything is going to be OK.
It might not seem that way right now, and perhaps you may be finding yourself in a place where you need to know that it’s going to be OK. But while you wait, and in the meantime, know that it’s OK to cry and feel whatever that you need to feel until you come to the place where everything becomes OK. It may take some time, and it may take some getting used to, but Dear Reader, I want you to know that one day soon, everything is going to be OK. I’m praying for you, and I truly hope that you will remain hopeful despite the circumstances that caused you to feel hopeless. I know what it feels like to be hopeless, but I also know what it feels like to continue to hope that one day soon everything will be OK.
Dear Reader, trust God even in the most difficult places, for He will see to it that you make it to the destination of His promises. I want you to know that you are not alone, and it is my prayer that this column will make you feel as though you have a place to belong and somewhere to call home.
