Dear Reader: Stay, Because We Need You Here – Part 2

Dear Reader,

I’m not sure how my words will find you when you read them, but I pray that they find you well and bring you hope and perspective.

God doesn’t want you to feel shame when life’s loads become unbearable to lift, and He most certainly, Beloved, does not want you to become crushed by the weight of a societal stigma. The complexities of mental health and wellness surround us every day, and its challenges and storms clouds are a part of everyday life for so many. So, let us strive to do our best to look out for the unknown superstars, too; for it is often their light that shines the brightest, but it is also most often their light that burns out before anyone ever begins to notice.

I want you to know that you are worthy of good and that you deserve the same happiness as anyone else does. I also want you to know that the harshness of this reality is real but that everyone won’t take the time to listen, nor will they ever truly understand what you have been made to feel. I pray that you will know peace, and I pray that your load will get lighter. I pray that you will be surrounded by all that is good for you. I pray that the evil that once did will no longer harm you. I pray that you will conquer the darkness that wishes to overtake you, and I pray that you will stay, because we need you here.

I pray that you will come to know the beauty of your worth and pray that all that has been troubling you will trouble you no more. We love you and truly want you to stay, because we need you here.

Beloved, I just pray – and want you to know that we need you here. I also want you to know that you are not alone and pray that you will be surrounded by all that will make you feel at home.

Dear Reader, continue to trust God in your most difficult places, because He will see to it that you make it to the destination of His promises. I want you to know that you are not alone, and it is my prayer that this column will make you feel as though you have a place to belong and somewhere to call home.
