April 1 through May 6, Goodwill is asking for donations of cereal, breakfast bars, or oatmeal for children that will go hungry over the summer when school meals stop.
TAMPA BAY — A quarter of the children in our community are at risk of going hungry over the summer when school meals stop. The Cereal for Summer food drive, by 10 News and Feeding Tampa Bay, is returning this year to fight hunger by collecting nutritious foods for families in need.
Goodwill Industries-Suncoast supports the food drive by collecting nonperishable breakfast foods at its retail stores in the Tampa Bay area. Just look for the “Cereal for Summer” collection box inside Goodwill stores.
Your donation will help ensure that children can start the day with a healthy snack during the summer school break. Please donate dry nutritious cereal, breakfast bars, or oatmeal from April 1 through May 6.
