Minority-owned Saturday Shoppes has a Mother’s Day weekend explosion! 

Don’t miss the Soul and Seafood Fest on Saturday and the Mother’s Day Reggae extravaganza on Sunday.

ST. PETERSBURG – This three-day holiday weekend, the runaway hit Saturday Shoppes has an event lined up for each day!

Tonight, May 12 — Saturday Shoppes will be hosting the Friday night bites (summertime seafood) at the Tropicana field lot 5. This event will have live entertainment, 25 food trucks with tons of seafood and more! From 6-10 p.m.

Saturday, May 13 — Saturday Shoppes will pop up at the Grand Villas, 3600 34th St. S, with their Soul and Seafood Fest! This event will feature a mix of  Motown, R&B and old soulful music! The day’s good eats will include collard greens, mac and cheese, crawfish, snow crab and much more! From 12-5 p.m.

Sunday, May 14 – The extravaganza will end with Mother’s Day Reggae. Bring mom out to enjoy live entertainment and over 75 food trucks and product vendors to shop! The first 50 mothers will receive a complimentary rose! From 12-5 p.m.

“This will be a huge weekend for me and the vendors, generating economic development on the southside of St. Petersburg, and watching small business excel, feels really good,” said Renee Edwards, Saturday Shoppes founder. “The Chamber [of Commerce] and city teams have been instrumental in elevating minority-owned firms like mine. I’m proud to take the torch and pass it to others.”

About the Saturday Morning Shoppe

The vision of the “Shoppe” is to create economic development opportunities for minority and women-owned businesses within the community. Founder Renee Edwards partners with community stakeholders to offer licensure, marketing, business etiquette, resources, and much more for business owners.

    I was a little girl when I lived in those apartments I am so glad to see someone is trying to get back our land this is encouraging to me I’ll soon be 67 years old and I would love to see our community get back together again like it was when I was a child
