Dear Reader: Run with endurance, and allow perseverance to be your baton

Dear Reader,

I’m not sure how my words will find you when you read them, but I pray that they bring you hope, perspective, and the motivation to continue forward.

A runner is one who must understand the importance of maintaining focus, because there will come a time in every race when you must drown out the noise and become determined to finish.

You may encounter obstacles along the way, but focus on the finish line and the results that come with it.

Don’t become discouraged when it seems you’ve fallen behind in the marathon of life, because in essence, you may be in the place that God wants you to be. For time and chance can happen to us all (Ecclesiastes 9:11). Your time may not be now, but your time may be later. So, look to the future with optimism, and surround yourself with those who will help you finish.

My dear reader, run with endurance and allow perseverance to be your baton. I want you to know that you are not alone, and it is my prayer that this column will make you feel as though you have a place to belong and somewhere to call home.
