Dear Reader,
I’m not sure how my words will find you when you read them, but I pray that they find you well and bring you hope and perspective.
Paul writes to us from the perspective of a runner, a believer, and a fighter in 2 Timothy 4:7. He states, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” You see, Dear Reader, I too believe that we should fight, run, and believe from this perspective because in doing so, we will find the conditioning of perseverance and we will also find the conditioning to finish. Your course won’t always be easy, and you may encounter some challenges along the way, but continue to believe, and don’t lose hope that God has conditioned you to finish.

We too can run our race, fight the good fight, and hold onto the faith even when we encounter what seems to be hopeless because, Beloved, you too are a fighter, a runner, and a believer, and God our Heavenly Father has already conditioned and made way for you to be a winner. Be the marathon runner, and keep going until you finish – and be “certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns” (Philippians 1:6 NLT).
“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” – Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Dear Reader, continue to trust God even in the most difficult places, because He will see to it that you make it to the destination of His promises. I want you to know that you are not alone, and it is my prayer that this column will make you feel as though you have a place to belong and somewhere to call home.
